More than a destination, It’s the adventure of lifetime!
From July 22 to July 31, 2026, Scouts BSA youth will gather at The Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia for an unforgettable 10-day adventure celebrating Scouting, leadership, and outdoor exploration. The National Scout Jamboree is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many Scouts and Venturers. Beyond the Jamboree’s thrilling activities and programs, the Pacific Harbors Council (PHC) contingent will have the chance to participate in additional excursions, making this adventure even more memorable.
The council registered for a (20) person male troop and a (20) person female troop. While they are officially two half-troops when they arrive at the NSJ, the two groups will still work in concert with one adult acting as overall lead for the council. Both groups will still plan, fundraise, prepare and travel together. The groups will collaborate closely, planning, fundraising, and traveling together for an extraordinary shared experience.
The adult/youth ratio is dictated by NSJ rules alllowing two adult leaders and 18 youth per troop. To comply with Guide to Safe Scoutng guidines our contingent will have two adult males and two adult females.
The estimated cost is $4,000 per person, covering Jamboree registration, travel, lodging, patches, uniforms, and other expenses. While every effort is made to predict and control costs, the final installment payment will depend on factors including offsets from fundraisers and actual expenses for equipment and travel.
Camperships may be available for Scouts requiring financial assistance but active participation in fundraising efforts by participants, contingent leaders and parents (e.g., popcorn sales, adventure cards, and others) is expected to reduce costs for all participants.
